organisation

The Institute for Fundamental and Clinical Human Movement Sciences (IFKB) was founded in 1995 and approved by the Royal Netherlands Academy of Arts and Sciences in 1996. The IFKB is the only research school in the Netherlands that is devoted to the study of biological movement.

The institute is cooperation between:   Faculty of Human Movement Sciences

UMC St. Radboud

Academic Medical Centre

    VU medical center

The participating faculties and medical centres have delegated all responsibilities for the pursuit of their scientific mission, the education of Ph.D. students, the quality care and the financial management of these activities to the board and directors of the IFKB.

The basic logistic units of the research school are the subprogrammes or research lines. Each line is headed by a line coordinator who is responsible for the realisation of the scientific goals of the subprogramme and its financial management. The line coordinators form an advisory body to the board of the IFKB. An educational programme committee assists the board in the design and evaluation of the Ph.D. educational programme.
